The National Indian Taco Championship is a festival held downtown in Pawhuska, Oklahoma on the first Saturday in October. This year it will be held on October 5th 2013 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
At the same time, the PRUC Fall Barrell Blowout we be at the Clarence Brantley Indoor Arena located at Osage County Fairgrounds.
During the Championship, there will also be an Indian Dance and Drum competition. Register the day of the event from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Children’s Exhibition will begin at 11:00 am. Preliminary rounds to follow.
Applications are still being taken to be Indian Taco Contestants and Non-Food Vendors. If you think you have the best Indian Taco to hold the title, sign up today to be a contestant by calling the Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce at (918) 287-1208!. The deadline September 30th so make sure you reserve your spot today!
You need to sign up on October 5th to be a judge in the Championship. For only $5 you can be either a preliminary judge, or a People’s Choice Award Judge. Limited spaces are available so sign up early.
Contestants from preliminary rounds will participate in the final round to win $1,000 and claim the title as the winner of the 2013 National Indian Taco Championship.
