Jeff  & Clara Goletto, of Pleasant Hill Carriage Company, Norman, Oklahoma, will furnish two of their horse drawn carriages for rides during the Centennial Celebration on May 5, 2007.  Goletto features Clydesdale and Belgian Draft horses.  The horses often travel with their gentle, dog companions, who like to ride upon the horses.  Last April, Goletto was picked to be the carriage ride for actor James Garner at the 89er Days Celebration and Parade, where Garner was the grand marshal.  The popular and esteemed actor had a street named after him, James Garner Avenue, and a statue was unveiled in the downtown plaza.  Garner was from Norman when he launched his acting career.   Goletto often gets into character by growing a beard and wearing period costumes to provide additional flavor for events, such as the Pawhuska Centennial.  Look for his carriages on Main Street during the day
